HJ Global Freight

A family-run freight forwarder with 60+ years of combined experience had a site search engines could not properly read, and a contact form that silently delivered nothing. We rebuilt it so the business gets found and every enquiry arrives.

The challenge

The old brochure site had one job, winning quote requests, and it was quietly failing at it. SEO scored 75 on the pages that matter most, only four of nine service lines were presented at all, navigation hid behind a hamburger menu even on desktop, and the contact form was not delivering submissions. Enquiries were being lost silently while the sender saw a success message.

What we built

A ground-up rebuild on Next.js. The contact form came first: server-side handling with spam protection, so real enquiries land and bots do not. Then we made the business findable. A full metadata layer took SEO from 75 to 100 on every page, all nine service lines got their own linkable sections, and a shipment tracking portal now lets customers answer "where is my cargo?" themselves.

How we did it

01

A form that actually delivers

Server-side handling with honeypot, validation and rate limiting. Real enquiries reach the inbox and spam does not. The single highest-value fix of the engagement.

02

Built to be found

Per-page titles and descriptions, Open Graph cards and crawlable navigation replaced thin, duplicated metadata, taking SEO from 75 to a perfect 100.

03

Nine services, nine landing targets

Every service line, from air and sea to time-critical and customs, now has its own anchored section the team can deep-link in a quote email and search engines can rank.

04

Self-serve shipment tracking

"My Shipments" links customers straight into the tracking portal from the main nav, so "where is my container?" no longer needs a phone call.

The outcomeThe site kept its speed while gaining a video hero and nine real service sections. A 60-year freight operation finally has a website that gets found, converts, and never loses an enquiry.

We had no idea the old form was losing enquiries until Cleargrow found it in the first week. Now the site actually brings us quote requests, and the tracking portal has cut the "where is my container" calls right down.
